Vacations (annual leave)

No later than March 1, the employer posts the seniority list and the number of annual vacation days to which each employee is entitled. This information is made available on the intranet under the Human Resources section. Employees must indicate their preference by March 15. The employer confirms vacation dates no later than April 1.

Vacation scheduling is determined taking into account:

  • the preferences expressed,

  • seniority,

  • job title,

  • and the department concerned.

Vacation exchanges are permitted between two employees holding the same job title and working in the same department, subject to the immediate supervisor’s approval (which may only be refused for valid reasons).

Finally, spouses working in the same establishment may take their vacation at the same time, based on the lower seniority, provided that this does not affect the selection rights of employees with greater seniority.
